The Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal needs to have additional awards available just like the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal. (The star for subsequent awards is exactly the same).
Just FYI, it is the USMCR equivalent to the USMC GCM. It is awarded for 4 years of active or drilling status. Reserves on active duty must choose between the SMCRM and the GCM, they can not receive credit for both for the same time served.

FYI - the SMCRM is given every three years now, not four.
