Just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm back from AT... so if it seems that I was ignoring you for two weeks... I WAS! But, only because I didn't have any/much internet access while I was gone. BTW, Ft. Campbell is friggin' HOT. On top of that I ended up with two days ADT orders for Minneapolis... so at the end of AT I woke up in Kentucky/Tennesse (Ft. Campbell) on Friday, Columbus, OH on Saturday, Minneapolis on Sunday and back to Ohio by Sunday afternoon... it was nuts.

Right now I am at Camp Shelby 'til Thursday and this place is friggin HOT and MUGGY!!!

hey ben, check this out. I had written the archives for my active duty records, to get award Korean defence service medal. Anyway they say they dont keep that because I am still in service ( wouldve been nice to know) they passed it off to HRC. Hrc then contacts my state, guess what, I can do that! AND HAVE! The state only has what I have given them. But the state person had a hand written note saying to contact Unit records research and phone number. Get this, they included the awards they have listed. They awarded me humanitarian service ribbon back in Nov 05 I have seen no orders on that and it isnt in Iperms. Also I knew I qualified for Amered forces service medal, because it is a deployment, I didnt figure I would get the Humanitarian serivce because I wasnt in the inital push, but it looks like they have shorted me the armed forces service medal.
I did call Unit Records Research and left a message I hope they can help me with the old stuff.

I am back from Camp Shelby. Washington State is the same temp as my air conditioned room at the Holiday Inn in Hattiesburg! BTW, if anyone is planning on going to Hattiesburg and staying out in town, DO NOT STAY AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON! They put the "Ho" in "HoJo".
