What ribbons are you working on John????

Postby John Asendorf on Sun Jan 09, 2005 12:51 am

I've been asked to add numerous ribbons and I'm working on them slowly but surely. The master ribbon list I am working fom is here:

http://ultimaterack.ajandj.com/mainlist.php

As an interesting note, I was thinking the other day about how I would go about tackling the list. I thought to myself, "Self, which ribbons should I start with... the top of the list? Those are the most revered ribbons." But then I thought, "but, with being the most revered, they are also the least likely to be found on someone's rack so you should start from the bottom."

So, truth be told, I'm merely going to attack where I think it will be most useful to the most people. Starting with campaign ribbons, then working my way to individual service ribbons. So... here we go, check the list and see if your ribbon is coming. If its on that list, I'm planning on getting it on.

Army Civilian Achievement medal

Postby Jarhead64 on Sun Feb 06, 2005 1:47 pm

John, It sure looks like you have your hands full with this site, which by the way is awesome. I was awarded the Civilian Army Achievement medal as a civilian employee for the Army. It is authorized for wear with the uniform but I don't see it anywhere. I have one if you need to know what it looks like. Let me know.

Dave,

Basically, all civilian medals should be placed between unit awards and the POW Medal. As in the Army unit awards are worn on the right side, your medal should go directly after the Army Achievement Medal (military). See note 6 of http://www.medals.lava.pl/us/us1.htm.

Thanks for the response, Lukasz, but I know where it goes in the rack. There just isn't one graphically represented on the rack builder.
Thanks again,
Dave

I'm missing quite a few of the civilian awards ATM. Soon though... soon.

Thanks for the reply John. You are doing a great job with this. In addition to my Marine Corps time, I spent 25 years in the Army Reserve. You are a credit to your service John. Thanks

Hey John, I did up another one for you, looks right to me compared to the photo I hotlinked in below:

Looks to me that this is the NATO ISAF and the NATO Training Medal - Iraq, just different clasps on the fullsize medals.

I love this site. :D Any chance that you are going to incorporate badges like the CIB/CAB or jump wings? I am wanting to use my rack as avitars on other sights that have vets on them and I know they would get a kick out of it.
