Was testing today using the rack I sent you as a standard.
Looks like the numbers work on the Air Medal and there are a sight more ribbons available. OLC's are working on the Purple Heart. So progress is underway.
As of today, these were the discrepancies not noted in previous messages -
Bronze Star - No V or OLC's
ARCOM - No V
VNSM - Campaign Stars understated by one. On those service medals for which campaigns are established. each campaign is represented by a single star from the first i.e. I served during nine campaigns in RVN, therefore I wear a silver and four bronze stars (the smaller ones, 3/16") on my VNSM. On service medals where campaigns are not designated such as the AFEM and the NDSM, successive awards are represented by silver and bronze stars with the first award represented by the ribbon itself, i.e if I were to have served in nine places and times for which the AFEM had been awarded I would wear the ribbon a silver star and three bronze stars. As of now, campaigns have been designated for the WWII service medals, the Korean Service Medal, the VNSM the Kosovo Campaign Medal and the SWASM. None have been authorized for the GWOTEM.
These comments apply to ribbons appearing on an Army uniform.
Keep up the good work!
